Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the above receiver... I figured what the hell, for $75 I can't really go wrong...

Plus I read some really good reviews on this out on the net...

Thanks again for all the responses, gave me alot of different makes/models to look at, compare, etc...

You guys rock!

I use this receiver and it is great...the battery seems to last forever, and it will auto shut off & on based on the BT from the phone being sensed. I used this recently on a two week trip in Europe and it worked perfectly with the XV6700.

Awesome, glad to hear you like it!

To be honest, the battery life was the biggest deciding factor in going with this model...

Can't wait to get it!

I use i-Blue 737. It is great! and cheap! Has auto on-off which is nice I just leave it in my glove box and charge it every week or so.

I got this unit today, paired without a problem, put it in the window in my office, plugged it in to charge and played with it, works great!!

I would definitely recommend this little GPS to anyone!

The holux 236 is a good receiver. I used it for about 6 months before I dropped it and broke the on/off switch (doh!)

Now, I'm using the i-Blue 757. It works every bit as good as the Holux 236 as far a signal acquisition/strength. However, the killer feature of this unit is it has solar panel charging. The unit is slightly larger than the Holux, but I have charged this thing exactly ONE (1) time since I got it back in march. I just leave it on my dash unpowered and it charges through the solar panel. It has auto BT signal detection so it powers way down when the phone is not present and only powers up when a GPS app makes a call to it's assigned com port.

Just my 2 cents... good luck w/ your search.

I'm using the same receiver.
Love this thing. I used it's to track airspeed on my flight to south america.
Pretty cool that the plane was doing 520mph at 32000ft.
I bought mine on ebay as well, and the 25hour battery life is great.
Auto ON/OFF is a big plus.
