Start up tone not working

Ok when I turn my phone completely off and back on before it would boot up with the sonic (or whatever it is..lol)characters and then the big picture of sonic and then the tone. Now it does not make any sound at all. Did I acidently turn it off some how?

You know i noticed mine has been working for a good while now. when i had hard reset and then later upgraded the rom it felt weird listening to it wehile the phone was starting up. but now once again i dont hear it anymore lol.

Well mine is making the sound again. It is fickled I guess.....lol But I sort of like the start up tone and when I don't hear it I am like Oh No what is wrong with my phone....lol
