How can I reset code to change prl file on XV6700?

I am trying to change the prl file to a Cricket prl. After I enter ##775# The phone is requiring a code and it is not "000000" - I have taken it to verizon and none of the previous numbers worked. I have figured out almost all of the problems that I encounter through research, but this one I cannot figure out....

PLEASE HELP...lol....

Thanks,

Suprdave

Thanks - I will try that again - I could not get it to work before... Code still did not work, but I will give it another shot... Is that the only way?? I have called HTC - Been to verizon - Was willing to pay for a "full flash" from cricket (they told me they would not do the 6700), etc...

Re: How can I reset code to change prl file on XV6700?

You have to make sure the comm ports are the same for the 6700 and the program you use for the spc, i used se47 and I had to install the drivers for the 6700, go into device manager, then under Ports (with your 6700 attached and in pst mode) go into your port settings for your 6700 and change it to 1 or 2. se47 has a check box to reset it to 000000 on connect, or it can just tell you what it is by unchecking that box, I just reset mine to 000000. The walkthrough I used didn't mention how to change the port settings, just that you had to. Quick way to it is to hold the windows key, then hit your pause/break button, then hardware tab, then device manager.

Plus you have to MAKE SURE that your ESN letter is capitalized. It'll give you the wrong code every time if you don't. Made that mistake when I first started using it.
