Sprint is killin me with this extra $5 for 300 txt messages!

is there not a way to deliver and recieve txt messages through the sprint network without buying into their $5 txt additional?? After making the switch from regular vision to power vision they said i had no choice but to buy the $5 txt messages because none are included with the power vision..

to me, thats BS!
and i know someone here has figured out a way to bypass this crap..

now, i know for a fact, back a couple years ago i used to use outlook express on my pc to send txt messages.. I sent the messages like this "0123456789@sprintpcs.com"
Theres gotta be a way, or maybe i havent looked hard enough to do free messaging safely and without paying any monthly fees..

Thanks

I just emailed into ecare and asked for 500 txt messages/mo for free. Just ask nice (and point out vision used to include unlimited txting) and they'll usually add this freebie for ya. I got it added on all three lines (Friends & Family plan) without so much as a beg

Looks like they also retro-added free picturemail on the $15 PV access level - I emailed ecare and asked about that too, they verified it's there.

BTW, there was no need to switch from Vision to Power Vision--even if Sprint told you there was. I'm still on a $10 Vision plan and have never been billed any extra for EV-DO usage.

When they gave me the 6700 as a replacement for my dying 6600, Sprint added the most expensive power vision to my plan.
I called them and said this phone doesn't do SprintTV, and I don't need to be paying for something I can't get.
I originally had the Picture Pack, which I rarely used as the 6600 didn't play well with it. I asked her about Picture Pack, and she said not with Power Vision, so I said nevermind. She gave me Power Vision for $10 per month, rather than the $25 they were going to charge me. Sure no text, no pics (I'd use my email to send pics anyway).
For regular Vision with Pictures and 100 text messages on the 66, I was paying $15. So, saving the 5 bucks was better.

$15 for unlimited text messages, why not do that? i have that on my shared accounts.

im pretty lucky with mine, im never going to change my account. my vision + unlimited text messaging = $10 ($7.50 vision + $2.50 sms) i send and recieve over 12k texts a month tho, so i need the unlimited.
