Yeah, when I got my 6700... I was freaking out cause my brother with a TyTN could upgrade his phone... and he couldn't find anything on my phone... Thank god for PPCGEEKS!

BTW to the people with the Titan... Your right... we should all stop wasting out time with the Apache. So, since your so optimistic about getting us into new technology, I will gladly provide my shipping info for 'YOU' to send me one free of charge. Not everyone likes spending 600+ on a new phone every year.

Regardless, I stated that I would not quite the Apache cause. Actually, the Mogul b00ns do not know what they are in for.

Apache owners, rest assured that you will laugh when mogul owners start bricking their phones. And, I mean truely bricking them. The Apache is a good thing and the rom still needs improvement. I cannot disagree with that. Perhaps some of the other kitchens have addressed the issues that remain. Regardless, if anyone wants to still work on this one, I am more than happy to put in my time. So, shall we sum up the remainin issues with this kitchen that are fixable and move on from there? Then again, I am sure the other kitchens have already done that.
Thanks for your ongoing commitment to this Colonel.

I agree that certain issues have been addressed in other ROMs, but it's definitely nice to have a good clean baseline ROM. In fact it would be nice if rather than releasing there own ROMs people provided updates that could be applied to the baseline Kitchen, as you did for your former ROM Colonel. Then we'd have be able to get the advantages of everyones work, instead of getting one update on one persons ROM, and a separate update on someone else's.

Many of the recent posts have been enhancement requests rather than bugs/issues. Should I add a section to the front post to track these too?

Please let me know your opinions.

This is still an issue for me, is anyone else experiencing it?

I would like to say yes to this also. If a base kitchen build can be loaded without crashes or BT issues then we are there, but it still seems like this build has had it's share of issues.

As a Verizon user I still get them. Only quirk I get is some of the ## numbers not working (so minor I couldn't care less)

R4 issues

I have been running R4 for 3 weeks now with very little issue. The only problems I have had were screen alignment becoming erratic but a soft reset resolves that.

Count me in as one who would like to see at least a final stable release based on R4, if not further. I still haven't seen enough info on the 6800 to make it a "must have" for me. Sorry, but a little thinner form factor and no antenna are not worth the price to me... I just need my phone to work as flawlessly as possible.

I've been running R3 for a couple of weeks (didn't go to R4 since at the time new RC's were coming out ever y couple of days it seemed, and I figured R5 was close so I would wait). If R4 is the end of the line, then so be it, but I am more than happy to keep testing if it means more life from my 6700.

To me, the 6700 is everything I need... not in it for the "cool" factor. It's not a fashion accessory.

Mayby fixes in the form of OEMs so they can be added to other kitchens.

CreateROM script and ROM Encoder .prj file update

I've added a CreateROM script and ROM Encoder .prj file update to...
-Provide more explicit instructions for selecting an appropriate .prj file
-Format prompts for 80 char displays
-Avoid the encoder overwrite file prompt
-Eliminate the final pause

See the first post.
