Angry Did I brick it?

Moments like these you feel like an idiot.

Its been soo long I can't even remember the last time I updated rom to my phone.

So I decided to download it again. I put my xv-6700 in bootloader mode. made my selection, pressed play, plugged it in, got confirmed and after a hard reset, the screen goes black after the very first splash screen.

Suspiciously at this moment, and not a very distant proximity to this occurance (within an hour) I got a call from Verizon wireless offering me a new phone & to upgrade. (IMO they knew, but unsure)

So, I played dumb and said I'd call back.

I did a little research and noticed I HAD TO HAVE AN ACTIVESYNC CONNECTION before attempting to update the rom, supposedly.

So at this point I have my hopes are in just putting the phone back to factory settings /w UTstarcomm VErizon aku

And this rom wont flash without having an activesync connection !!!! and at this point I can't get it to activesync with this black screen!!! ugh

Help.

Oh btw, my bootloader version is 2.05, jik. Thanks

Re: Did I brick it?

You don't need to have an ActiveSync connection. Just hard reset 3-4 times. It's gonne keep going into bootloader. Then plug in and flash with the stock AKU3.3. since you have version 2.05 bootloader. You will NEVER brick an Apache.

Re: Did I brick it?

I'm still getting communication 101 errors after resetting. But I have been tring with the previous version aku jik,,, but from what I understand the 3.3 is an upgrade rom, are you sure 3,3 will do the trick?
