Burning my ROM in the Kitchen!

Ok I have read the tutorial throughly!!! I mean very throughly! 5 times not to be exact.

My problem is when I am flashing my ROM the video is all jacked up, as if I have bad drivers and the splash screens are distored, and will not even boot into WM5. I have tried several times now with 1 semi-successful cooking, and the splash screens worked, but the video was distorted in WM5.

What am I doing wrong? I am following the steps to the "." I am not trying to create my own OEM files yet, but just using the basic OEMs that are in the Kitchen, just customizing my own load for now.

One the last attept at building my ROM I received an error that BUILDMGFS.EXE encountered a problem and terminated, but the app wanted to proceed, but I terminated it, and now I am posting!

Any assistance or tips would be greatly appreciated!

BTW I am using the newer R3 Kitchen

A distorted splash screen is a symptom of an overfull ROM. We don't really know what the hard limit is, but chances are you checked too many boxes.

Delete your temp folder and rerun the whole process, except pick just a few OEMs. Then flash that ROM, and if it works, then you can add a few more and test again, etc.

Well I ended up fixing my issues. I deleted the entire kitchen. Un-rar'ed the kitchen for fresh files and what not. I used the same kit and OEMs I did above and this time it worked beautiful! No hang ups, no errors, worked flawlessly! DAMN Ive never seen my PPC so happy and running so fast. Its amazing. I think when the files were decompressed, it may have corrupted something, and caused the problems.

Thanks for your input!!!
