BuildOS trouble VISTA

i keep having trouble with buildOS. i have vista and every time i created a rom it would either add too much and get an error or when i finally was able to flash the rom i would always get an RUU error is it because of vista and if it is can it be fixed i turned off the usb connection through mobile device center i even did the modacco steps for flashing with vista and those worked the first time i flashed my phone to wm6 also is there a way to see how much space you have left before you start building the rom

Re: BuildOS trouble VISTA

First off, the driver fix is old. It was only for the early pre-made roms.

Second, if you are using the Apache you NEED to be in bootloader and have the USB connections turned off in Windows Mobile Device Center.

NEVER RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. I got a file create error when running as admin.

I would sugest you do the 'search for new drivers' in the section where you replace them from MaDoCo. Those are outdated.

If you do that you will NEVER have issues with Vista. I am still on the first Vista release and I have no problems...

Re: BuildOS trouble VISTA

That section where you replaced the drivers in the Control Panel on your machine. Make it search for updated drivers and it will download the offical MS Drivers. No need to run anything as Administrator.
