Re: Turning the phone off

I used to do it to conserve battery power if I needed to. For example, if I had forgotten to charge my phone and was expecting a call a bit later in the day and did not have my charger with me. I could turn it off for a while, and then turn it back on and have enough battery to receive the call. I also would use it sometimes instead of turning my phone on silent. It was simply a matter of convenience, as I could do it quickly without looking at the screen. It wasn't ever really a big deal.

Because the only thing I use my old Sprint PPC6700 for is TomTom 7. So, when I'm not using it, might as well power down, right? Anyone know how to turn off the radio but still have TomTom work? Mine nags me and says will not work unless flight mode is off.
