Any way to get faster speeds on USB tether?

I've finally gotten my device to tether with my computer. I used the wireless modem tool and it works... BUT... and this is a HUGE but...

I am capped at ~240kbps!!!

Is there any way around this??

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. You edit your connection settings and put the connection speed up from 230 to 921600 or something like that.

Full speed ahead now!

Not as fast as I usually get when I'm directly on the phone but its good enough:

You edit them on the PC.

Find the Dial-up connection, right-click and hit properties. Click configure, change maximum speed to 921600. Click OK, click OK. Restart connection.

It worked for me. *shrugs*

When I speed up the connection on the pc the phone freezes and needs a soft reset. So I just leave it at the 240.
