I had the "Fat file" error, I clicked ok on the screen and it just sat there and did nothing, I had to use the upgrade program from the Unified ROM Kitchen and it worked, anyone else getting this ?

Which Fat File error, there are two. One is a pathing issue, and one doesn't really matter.

One of the final steps, use the extended rom tool, hit encode, it comes up with a fat error, you click okay and it's supposed to encode the rom anyways, mine didn't, it just sat there

The current kitchen has an improper path specified to the .nba file (i.e. the file specified in the "FAT16 file:" box). Make sure that points to the nk.nba file found in the Kitchen's temp folder. After doing that you will still receive an error about the ROM being too large, ignore that, hit OK, and you should be good to go.

before i install, can i ask which Arcsoft MMS is installed? is there a choice? Helmi, can i upgrade to the newer one? I know, surprised this is coming from me....thanks

and why is there a password on the walkthrough? who puts a password on the help document and not the main files? oh saw the pdf....sorrrrrry

Q#2-is there a reason to click verizon rom in the BuildOS check box or is that just the useless verizon ext rom that i deleted anyway?

Q#3- "failed to get FAT16 filesize" after hitting encode on the HTC64 extended rom tool page. and i didnt even make any new oems, just clicked em off.

It is the old MMS. I know you got the new version working, but it did not work for everyone. You might be able to upgrade. Hopefully we can work on that more in the future.

The Verizon stuff should just setup your data and stuff. I actually have not had it confirmed if it works correctly. You do not need it, but if it works it saves you from doing it manually.

What was the difference? I rarely even use it so I never noticed any real difference. If you want, come work with us in the chat room some day and we can work on it. I may be able to get the new MMS back into the kitchen for you.
