Vista Synx Woes

Hey, while doing some research to the Vista sync problems and not being able to see all the directories on the device, I found that MS has published some new drivers.

Yes they are meant for WM6 but for me they fixed alot of issues with dropping connectivity to my PC.

Here is a link! Test it and post/share your results.

UPDATE: After uninstalling the previous app, and drivers, renaming the WindowsMobile folder. rebooted, and reinstalled the new drivers.
Found that it takes a bit longer to boot the app and get running.
I am currently unable to set my new device up for syncing, but I am able to maintain a solid connection to my device with no problems for almost 2 hours.
Previous vista drivers would not allow me to maintain a connection for only 3-5 mins

Any ideas?

I have given up on vista and syncing for now. I just use my xp laptop. I hate microsuck. what a bunch of sloppy programer hacks.

I'll be watching for the solution though.

I haven't had any issues syncing my PPC with Vista.
It was all plug n play, except that I had to use the Windows Mobile Device Centre.. but no issues, yet. I just updated my ROM today.. Is this the issue? I haven't tried syncing with Vista since the upgrayyed.

Yeah my sync problem began when I upgraded from AKU 2.2. I am still playing with it. I back up my data on a regular basis, so I always have my back ups on SD, so syncing is not a huge issue, but being able to transfer files to and from is cricial!

This gives me a project to work on and keep me busy for a while. I hate MS too, but its a necessary evil at times.

downloading the update now.. internet is crawling tonight...

any idea if this will help me? contacts wont sync.. i want to reflash, but i need to backup my contacts first. I am currently able to connect though WMDC but nothing syncs, besites the time, where it takes the liberty of shifting my ppc one hour into the future.. despite having dst patches on both the pc and ppc installed..

I am still having the sync problem myself. I think I am going to back up my data yet again tonight, and updated again to Helmi's R3. I think it is just a bug, but the drivers should help.
