Introduce a method to get SuperID on 6700

This method is from a Chinese player. To respect his effort, I add the original link as below.
http://www.diypda.com/viewthread.php?tid=478&a mp;extra=page%3D1
Before you make unlock your 6700, please make clear what is CID and superID. The CID is HTC customs for different carrier code. For example, The CID for Verizon is different with Sprint. You can not make the Verizon ROM works well in Sprint phone. The SuperID is just clean the CID limited, it means you could let any carrier's ROM works well on your 6700.

Please note the SuperID is useless for ESN.

I only translate the important words which is related the unlock method.

1) How to check if your 6700 has superID?
a) Install ActiveSync into your computer;
b) Cancel the USB connection in ActiveSync connection option page;
c) Run MTTY.exe and select the USB mode;
d) Type USB>task 32, if you get the feedback level=0, it means you have already gotten the superID. If not, you get the level=FF, it means your 6700 is locked to a appointed carrier.

2) How to get SuperID?
a) Download the attached file;
b) type ##3424+talk on your 6700 and press "start";
c) Run QPST, Start Clients---EFS Explorer, then press "ok";
d) Select folder NVM/NVM, put the attached file (decompress it first) into this folder, then quit QPST;
e) Press "stop" on 6700, then your phone will be restart, you get the SuperID already!

You can upload any 6700 ROM into your phone!
P.S.: I can not upload the NVM file, you could download it from the above link.

I'm a sprint customer with a 6700 that's on its last legs...new job offers verizon with xv6700. Can I unlock the verizon to use on sprint if I clone my sprint 6700's esn?

Hmm true SuperCID is not just allow you to install any rom, but it also unlock all bootloader command... for partial SuperCID read my old post here:

1. Explore phone with QPST (EFS Explorer)
2. copy file NVM\NVM\nvm_htc
3. Hex edited the string VZW__001, or SPCS_001 or any other operator u currently hv then change the String to SuperCID.

to

4. Copy back the modified file to device (nvm_htc).
5. Done... U will be able to flash any rom and any operator rom u like.
or if you need for make it trully SuperCID, just replace SuperCID / Operator string with 11111111 (eight 1 string / 31 hex )

Please do NOT use the attached file from the original post. It may cause your phone to behave strangely. i.e. carrier id may be lost everywhere. If you have already done so without a back up. You can replace the file with one from a phone of the same model.
If you really want to do so, you can backup your own one and modify it using helmi_c's method above.

SuperCID string = Install any rom, any operator , no operator error anymore.
11111111 string = same as above, plus Everything unlock in bootloader, so you can play with bootloader freely, dump the rom, bootloader, anything...
