Dropped Phone. Now MSL Code doesn't work

I don't have insurance BTW.

So I tried to make a phone call, but there is a picture of an antanne with an exclamation point. I've done a hard and soft reset, and it still doesnt work. I tried to reprogram my phone. But the MSL code i have always been using doesn't work.

What can I do

If you've already gone into your CommManager to make sure you weren't in Flight mode and held the red phone button to make sure you weren't in FM.... I think you're screwed and time to get a new phone.

Yeah, I did open up the CommManager. When I click the phone, it starts to switch, but then it switches back to flight mode

Will I have to go to a Sprint store? Right now, I have BigJ's ROM installed on my phone. How can I downgrade it back to one of the official Sprint installers?

Thanks in advance

And installing the OEM ROM will also reflash the radio. Which might get it to work again.

I wonder what you could break from a drop that would cause the MSL not to work........

Well that was the last thing that happened.

The phone worked the whole day, and at night, I was running to chase my friend, and that is when it dropped. When I got home, there was no signal at all. I had no voicemail number, and I couldn't even call *2, or *4.

I downloaded the upgrade from the link above, and I it says "The ROM image you are trying to use is not designed for your phone. Please check the vender website and download the correct ROM update."

Should I put my phone in bootloader mode?

I don't know if this means anything, but when I restart my phone, I see

P
R
D 2.11.20 WWE

I think before, the P, and R used to have numbers.

Well..... if nothing else, you know that $55 gets you a new (refurb) one at a service center right? And that you can add ESRP($4/month) after you pay for the first one, so that if anything else happens you don't have to shell out the cash for it

For the $55 for a refurbished phone, don't I need to have insurance first?

nope

you're thinking of the deductible payment....

Have you dropped your phone in water? Completley smashed it?

Then you can get a 55 dollar replacement at a service center...... Thats the fee if you don't have insurance. If you have insurance its free......

I wish I could upload this brochure for you......... But maybe I can do the next best thing......

Sprint service and repair..... check this out

That should explain it better than i do.......
