Just curious, what carrier do you have. I ask because I had a treo 700p and it seemed responsive the first half year, then it started to get real slow and crash more. I replaced it 7 times and finally got a 6700 which works WAY better than the 700p. I think a lot of the issues were changes that verizon was making.

the key lag happens with every single 6700 i test. thats just the way it is i guess. And as for the wx being a better phone, well, it came out a year after the 6700, so i would hope it would be better. These little quirks you talk about, i guess most of us have learned to deal with them the best we can, just because our phone (the 6700) has it all. Wifi. Evdo. Free Tethering. Bigger keyboard. its what makes the underground scene more active, we want this phone as perfect as we can make it.

I agree we can learn to live with these issues. I have lived with them since I got the phone right after its release. However, the question is why do the quirks happen. Lets find out why this phone works great right after a hard reset and the quirks are not there. Even the typing lag is not there. What happens to this device after usage?
On the topic of the typing lag and sometimes key presses that do not register..I have determined the reason for this. The screen you are typing in looses focus for a split second when the phone does thinks like reconnect to data services. Or if you switch from 1x to EVDO. |
