PPC6700 and Exchange Push Email

Hi everyone I am new and should be receiving my 6700 Monday or Tuesday. I have some questions regarding using my 6700 with Exchange Push Email. If I have my device setup on our server will that mess me up if I want to flash ROM's and mess with the device using the different tweaks found here? Can I still use desktop activesync to install programs I want to use? Thanks in advance for the help!! I am looking forward to spending alot of time here!

Nope... matter of fact, that's the best way to do it because your email/contacts/appts/tasks get backed up on the exchange server so when you flash your phone, you just have to set up your activesync server options and your back in business.

...and yes, you still use your local activesync to install whatever programs you would like to use.

Good Luck

I use mail2web for direct push mail. I have flashed almost all the updated AKU's here and it worked fine with all of them. ActivSync works fine as well. I hope that helps, and welcome to the PPCGeeks were glad you could join us.

Check your mail2web server settings in Activesync on your PPC. Under the options, make sure that the Contacts box is checked. Your contacts should back up to the mail2web server, so when you flash your phone, and then re-enter your mail2web account settings, your contacts should come right back to your phone automatically. Mine do.
