Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

I've scoured the forums, can't seem to find this issue. I've just finally cooked my rom to my liking but now the dumb thing won't turn on randomly. The LED is on, it's turned green though, but the device won't turn on. I have to reset it to get it back. Does anybody have suggestions or where to look for advice?

Again, I've searched like crazy but may not be using the right search terms (both in ppcgeeks and google) so if someone can point my in the right direction it would be much appreciated. I don't mind reading as well so no need to write the solution if it's out there. Just can't find the right thread.

Thanks in advance.

I think I'm having the same issue. After the phone suspends it doesn't want to come back. I get around resetting by sliding it open, and then holding the power button. Works every time, but still annoying.

Re: Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

Mine does this too from time to time. I hard reset it the other day and installed very little programs and it seems to be ok right now. There has to be something conflicting. Sometimes it would do it 4-6 times a day. It has not done it once in 4 days. I'll slowly add apps to see if I can pin it down.

Sounds great. I tried on this last build to add very few apps so I'm curious to see what you find. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Haven't tried the sliding open power button trick so I'll do that next. I'll keep experimenting and post if I find something.

Re: Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

I had this problem with my Apache for awhile. It just happend to be a bad rom I made in the kitchen. I just changed up some apps then reflashed and I never had the problem again. The same thing happend on my 6800. I did the same thing and I haven't had any problems...

Re: Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

The last time I flashed I only added Maxx's Manilla2d and basic stuff like calculator and sd card stuff. Most of the extra stuff I cut out so we'll see what happens.

Re: Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

You'll have to let me know. I tried the Manilla 2d theme and didn't have much luck. Lots of weird things were happening but not sure if I was using the right kitchen. I really just want this thing to quit locking up and have a fairly easy to use interface. Good luck.

Re: Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

When I had a 6700 I also had an issue like this. Ended up being the card in the slot causing the issue. If I took the card out and locked the device I could wake it up and unlock it.

Re: Apache won't turn on - have to reset to wake it up

I've wondered the same thing, however, I haven't had this problem as much as I have had lately and I've really cut down on the amount of programs/software I've put into the device. you would think that should make it easy to deduce what this issue is by not putting as much into it.
