MSVC + Palm Messaging = Bust?

Wondering if there is a way for MSVC interact with Palm Messaging to utilize reading of text messages as they arrive. Just the way it as the stock messaging system.

Also, how in the world do I get the program to read email being sent to me. My gf said it read off her email from Yahoo. I have Yahoo go! installed as well as Windows Live. Thanks bunches.

Go into the Voice Command Settings in the Settings menu first. Then choose messaging Options (not Notifications). Make sure Announce new messages is checked and that High priority messages only is unchecked. That should do it. I use it all the time and it reads my texts and email to me.

yes I have had this option 'unchecked' and still no go. Now, when I had 2.2AKU that did not include Palm Messaging, the MSVC read text, but never email. Now I have 3.5 1.6uROM and neither works. during incoming messages at all. I even 'unchecked' the during free time only option.

Im sad

interesting, I must be missing something. VC can read off email subject lines(I had to turn this off when a friend started using 'colourful' subjects), but not the body, and it never read sms msgs, with or w/o palm messing installed.

its the way bigj got the indox application back on to the rom, it wont read off new email to you cause VC doesnt see it. and as for the palm messaging app, VC only knows how to interact with the stock messaging app. so if you want 3.5 with full VC support, cook your own rom without messing with the messaging program.

well, as for reading text messages from the palm messaging app, i dont think it will work, seeing as how MSVC doesnt know how to read the data, or that a text has come in. MSVC was programmed to work with the stock program, so adding in a newer program messed it up.
