Missing email account/forlder

I am running colonels 3.5final and twice now my "work" pop3 email has disappeared. it will say work 43 or whatever in the today screen when messages is enabled but it doesn't show when opened. Also I cannot make a new work since the work is still there.

what made it hide and can i fix this.
