New 6700 user question

Hello! I just got my 6700 (Sprint) today and I've been searching around seeing what I can do with this awesome new toy...and I'm a little overwhelmed! From what I gather, I want to go the Clean and Simple ROM route, but I have some questions before I do:

1 - I currently am running 2.06.00 WWE, Radio 1.12.00. Do I need to upgrade to a newer OEM rom first?

2 - Will a hard reset completely kill all of my activation info? It took me a little over an hour to get this thing activated (stupid sprint CS) and so I do not want to have to go through that hassle again if at all possible.

3 - What's that site (I think it was on audiovox's site) that has all of the OEM roms listed and downloadable, just in case I need to revert backwards.

Thanks for everyone's assistance! I love this thing and I know I've barely scratched the surface.

Okay.. here you go:

1. Nope

2. Nope, it'll still work, etc.. just change the OS. It's like upgrading to Windows Vista doesn't change your BIOS info, just the OS.

3. Just get it here.

Additionally, I'd recommend Kirvin's Clean and Simple Sprint release, which you can get here.

Hope that helps.

Sweet thanks for the help. I went ahead and installed the Clean and Simple Sprint release and it was very painless.

How do I get a black "theme" like I see in your sig?

The 3.5 is amazing. This totally blows away any phone I've ever used before.

It's callee Black Curves, and you can either find it here on the forums (Search is your friend, this will be pounded into you, so get used to it ) or I can be nice and you can get it here.

BTW, as I just mentioned in your other thread, your radio is not up to date. You really should install the latest Official Sprint rom that is linked above and then move to a custom rom.

Ah ok, that explains a lot. I can still flash an OEM rom even after upgrading right? I'll just obviously lose everything I've done so far due to the hard resets? Thanks!!

Yes, you will lose what you have done. Hopefully, since you just got the phone yesterday, you have not done too much.

Ha, thankfully I haven't done too much, and nothing that can't be easily restored.

Thanks for all your help.
