Re: 6700 took a dump, mogul?
I would recommend skipping the Mogul and going straight to a Touch Pro, if you can.. The retail price difference between the 2 are only $30 dollars... $579.99 for the Touch Pro and $549.99 for the Mogul... The performance of the Touch Pro is a lot better then the Mogul.. Ask if you can sign a new contract extension, and pay $299.99, since that is the price a Touch Pro goes for with a new 2 year contract..
If anything, stay polite and be reasonable.. They are in the business to make money after all so if it doesn't work, be nice about it... Here is a thread about people being able to get Sprint to upgrade their Mogul's to a Touch Pro.. I know that is not the situation you are in, but you might be able to gather some advice from it.. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=39341 Before you go to the Store, you might want to try emailing E-Care first... Mention something about switching to a competitor if your situation cannot be resolved... But be nice and you should be able to receive something for your time... At the worst, you might get a new 6700.. At best, a new Touch Pro for less then full retail.. I wish you the best of luck... |

Re: 6700 took a dump, mogul?
Alright contacted E-care and still havent gotten a response (its been almost a full week). I took my phone to an official sprint store and it was replaced with a refurb 6700 that has a plethora of problems...
1.) The joystick is damaged, it is loose beyond any repair and it takes more force than should be necessary to get your input to register. 2.) Bluetooth issue is back, only this time it says its on but none of my devices can see it. (yes it is in discoverable mode) 3.) Cannot end calls on occasion. Discovered this last night when I got off the phone from a 2 minute conversation. Half hour later I go to use my phone to discover that its still connected, pressing the end key didn't end the call. Pressing the soft end key didn't end the call. Clicking the X didn't end the call, and flash didn't end the call or switch lines. Plucking the battery sure ended it though. Its done this twice now in two days. Thank god for unlimited night and weekend minutes. 4.) It's not allowing conference calls to work anymore. 5.) It seems to be processingly retarted, if it were biological i could call it mentally retarted... It experiences an immense amount of difficulty in accomplishing the most mundane of tasks such as, viewing the start menu, or perhaps even showing the screen in the right orientation. 6.) E-mail: I set up my E-mail accounts on this one just as I had done with my previous one but it still doesn't quite understand (retarted). It will not pull email from my accounts like my previous phone would. Its constantly asking for my credentials to access the e-mail accounts, which I supply, it acts like it understands then goes retarted again asking for credentials. This is a perpetual loop that does not stop until I shut the thing off. I sadly fear that I've now joined the ranks of the MANY dissatisfied and uncompensated customers who are going to recieve nothing but problematic and sub par phone replacements, regardless of the fact that they pay to ensure that should anything happen to their phone it will be resolved. Unfortunately it is the contrary, the problems continue with different hardware every time. I'm kind of at a loss here as this is the very reason i left T-Mobile. Any ideas? |
