Changing The Welcome Screen??

well i know im gonna catch some flack over this but. iv searched for over an hour now and still cant find it. i know iv seen it. some where even looked over at PDAPhonehome and PPC6700 users and nada how do i go about changing the welcome screen already changed the splash screen want to do it all

Thanks Big C' I guess the better question would be is there a was to do it like the boot screen is done and if not could you elaborate a little on how to do this.

Not much to elaborate on.. The file C mentions is a graphic file (.png) simply replace it with whatever you want to be displayed.

right! i got that. my question is do i replace it on the phone? or do i need to start rattelin pots and pans in the kitchen? and if so either way how to go about it. i cant seem to deleat the file on the PPC to replace it with the new one

uh... .wow....

make a file that is 240x320 (landscape)
or 320x320 so you dont get bars on the sides in portrait.

make it a PNG file (use photoshop or something).

put it on your PPC ... doesnt matter where.

get a FILE explorer that will allow you to OVERWRITE files in the ROM (resco and ce commander will do this)

copy the PNG file into the windows directory, when it asks to overwrite... say yes.

soft reset the device.

and use google, it was the 2nd 3rd and 5th result with step by step instructions.

hey thanks a lot. that time i got it! dident mean to be snippy just frustrated mut have tried to copy the file to Windows about 200 times thanks for the help T.C. to the rescue
