Why can't we all get along?

Why is it that Sprint and Verizon are the only 2 represented here? Why can't Alltel be represented here. I may not be as smart as some but I have been able to do stuff. Want to be a hero? work on some Alltel info and roms. I will test it for the good of the few. Or tell me how to add Alltels external rom cabs just 2 of them to kirvins clean and simple rom the Default_Settings.sa.CAB
DisableDataCode.sa.CAB. So it is an easy install. having probs with that.

most of the ROM's built here are "generic" in a sense, in that as long as you allow your extended_rom customizations to run from your carrier, the CE update will work fine for your handset.

the ONE particular ROM you are reffering to was built specifically for that carrier, there was no bias, but that is the handset the individual owns and built a ROM for and decided to share with the community.

You may also want to take a look at the sticky, download the kitchen, and cook up your own if you are not satisfied with the diversity here and specifically target alltel users.

I hope you find something you like! You can also look at my own "Generic" ROM wich was recently updated using the new kitchen, as well as colonel & sarid have VERY good reputations for a stable and solid product.

If you need help, we are more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Good luck!

Alltel works great!

I have alltel and am using one of the generics (sarid). It is working very good. All you have to do is keep your extRom.
There is also a good post on which progs in extRom are neccessary to keep.
I found these listed on this forum and it works for me:
Default_Settings.sa.CAB
DisableDataCode.sa.CAB

I'm an Alltel user and I've been running HELMI_Apache_3.5_KITCHEN_PPC-GEEKS for about 2 months, and I love it. I've been thinking of tinkering with the kitchen, but I've got enough going on as it is...

I'm also on Alltel and am using Kirvin's "no junk for any carrier" ROM. Works great, no problems.
