capital letters

this is a pretty stupid question but is there a way to stop the first letter of each sentence on the xv6700 from being a capital? and changing it in the input settings doesnt seem to work. my girlfriend hates it lol.. (im running Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2))

Re: capital letters

Well you could try turning of Auto-correct under Start -> Settings -> Input -> Word Completing.

Re: capital letters

I was about to come ask the same thing. Also how to make it respond faster. I recently had to get a new apache through verizon's insurance and my old one had much faster response time for entries of text. I type in a word and have to wait for it to come up on the screen. Sometimes the first letter doesn't even pop up on my sentence.

Re: capital letters

Okay guys. I puled out the Apache for ya. Here ya go.

Settings>Personal>Input>Word Completion, uncheck "Suggest Words when entering text" and "Enable Auto Correct"

Settings>Personal>Input>Options, uncheck "Capitalize first letter of sentence"

That will take off capitalized letters and speed up the type.

I did exactly that right after I cooked a new rom. The thing is, it still does it. Is there a registry edit that's not being changed?

Re: capital letters

Hmm, not sure. I just tried it on my WM6.1 Apache and WM5 Apache and it worked. I tried it on my WM6 Mougl and it worked as well. I would use the kitchen and build my own ROM anyways. That old Apache WM6 ROM is buggy. Anyhow I'll dig through my registry and report my findings in a bit.

Re: capital letters

I think I found out what's wrong. When I'm texting there's a thing on top where it usually says SMS/MMS it turns into #/160. Whenever I input anything the # turns into how many characters I've put in. Is there anyway to disable that?
