Has anyone ever removed their Antenna?

The antenna on this phone is ugly and I just wanted to know if anyone as ever removed it?

While I don't have an Apache/VX6700, I do have a 700WX which also has a small external antenna. Wouldn't think of removing it. It's there for a reason.

Yes I have, it was horbile. Not much reception. If you hate it so bad just get a 6800. I LOVE MINE!

Yes, I have removed it. Every f-ing time I have to rip my phone apart to fix the screen. Maybe someday I'll quit throwing it at the wall.... Probably not.
