Sorry, been away for a bit. Anyway, that usually happens when the phone wakes and locks, but does not wake fully. Hence the white screen. If you are good, you can click on the lower left and right middle and unlock it. I have had this happen with every lock app out there. It seems to be a random thing, but may be due to a conflict with a today plugin powering up.[/quote]

Thanks for the reply. I reinstalled today, thinking maybe something was corrupted. On restart, I initially left off password protection, and device lock worked normally, set to suspend when activated. When I added my password to "lock", the problem recurred. So, it's looking like I can use either device lock, or password, but not both... Another question - do you know how I can get back to the settings for Device Lock? I'd like to set it to not suspend on activation, but I cannot find my way back to the options screen.

Thanks,

Gary

SD Card is disappearing

I upgraded from Verizon rom 2.3 to Colonel 3.5 and my SD card is disappearing. I checked to see if my sdmemory.dll was old and it appears to be the newest version. Any suggestions?

Well, Good News, Gad News.

With Helmi releasing a new rom and pending some further testing, I will probably be doing a revision of my rom and possibly creating a second version.

That was it! Thank you! Now if I could just get it to auto-lock when I hit the power button... No matter, I can work with this. The password protection was the "must have" feature, but I like to use Device Lock to reduce my number of accidental outgoing calls.

Now I just have to figure out why the popup/softkey to acknowledge repeating reminders won't always come up. Maybe it's also related to a conflict with password protection.

Thanks again,

Gary

And I thank you also.

This seems to have fixed my issues as well.

First off, I want to thank Colonel and the gang here at PPCGeeks for all the work and hours they've put in to bring us quality ROMs that allow us to use our machines to their potential. Lord knows, I've flashed every one of them trying to find the best one for me. I keep coming back to Colonel's because I love all the extras and maintenance programs us power-users need. I've flashed the final version on a couple different Verizon 6700s and I'm concerned about the radio problems I've been getting. They keep dropping service and switching between home and extended network. I even noticed after I finally get the*228 prl update to go thru, I lose the network options. (Home, Auto A, etc) I've tried everything I can think of. I've flashed back to orignal offical ROMs first. Made sure I put the Verizon ms.nbf file in the uploader directory. I've tried stopping the ext rom from loading. Played around with every setting and reg edit I could think of. Everyone seems to love this ROM, and I can't help but think that I must be doing something wrong. Help please!! I would just swap out my device if that was the problem, but its happening on several (3) different machines. 2 of which, I knew were solid before, and 1 brand new one. I've come to really love your ROMs, Colonel, and hope I can overcome and get this one up and running too. Thanks for any advice in advance.

ALWAYS FLASH BACK TO AN OFFICIAL ROM BEFORE TAKING YOUR PHONE IN FOR SERVICE OF ANY KIND

Of ANY kind? I want to bring my 6700 in to get the screen repaired at a local Sprint store.
Do I really need to reflash to the OEM ROM before I do this?
