will be reloaded in date order sequence?

You don't need to load each in order, just install the latest one.

:salute: Great. I just want to know the way back, since bread crumbs probably will not work :newb: .

Hey Colonel,

Your roms rock and I did vote! The slide lock is cool, can you boot it or soft reset to that screen. Do you have to press the icon each time?

Hey Colonel, i'm running into a new problem with your latest rom (with the slide lock) in that i'm unable to use the internet sharing application.

I'll start off with the device unplugged from the computer, open ICS, click connect, it'll say something about a USB connection at the top. I'll plug it in to a USB port, it says connected on the phone, but the "limited or no connectivity" bubble shows up after about 45 seconds. I connect just fine to the net on the device immediately before, and immediately after trying this. I'm using the exact same procedure I used on your last ROM, and it worked just fine there. Is there a step i'm just forgetting right now? Have you (or anyone else) run into this? Please help!!

Jim

Unfortunately, I do not ever use internet sharing. I am not even set up to test it. Hopefully someone can chime in and help. Sadly, that rom is still experimental and may have bugs in it.

Colonel,

Thanks for all your hard work on these roms. I have a question tho. I see a file in your ftp folder titled Sprintnk.nbf that has a date stamp of 7/5/07. What exactly is this file and what does it do? Also... what app do you use in your rom to auto-suggest word/spellings? Thanks again for all your help.

colonel 07-09-2007 09:59 PM

any nk.nbfs in the ftp are experimental roms. You can flash them, but only if you know what you are doing.

Auto-suggest is built into the OS of WM5. However, I include an app called DictEditor that can edit the built in library of words.

Nevermind Colonel, I figured it out.

In case anyone else runs into this problem, just open up your favorite registry editor, browse to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\Status and set "Enabled" from 0 to 1.

Who woulda thought that by messing around, i'd figure it out myself!! :D

I'm posting this message from my laptop over the EV-DO right now!

colonel-

is there any way to get ahold of your old nk.nbf files? I now have a brand new 6700 (not a refurb), and flashed with your most recent Final (not the experimental one, although i tried), and it promptly froze on the slide screen before i could do anything. I seeme to remember one or two versions ago that was a little more stable. thanks for the hard work again!

try the nk.nbf that is up there now. I took out slide for now.
