have a verizon xv6700 that only displays white screen and will only power down with disconnected battery. Tried a new lcd but still the same problem. Would like to hear some ideas or solutions to my problem.
Thanks

Re: broken xv6700

We will need more information. Did this happen as a result of a ROM upgrade or just on its own? Any hard resets?

Re: broken xv6700

I bought the phone second hand the first owner said it did it on its own. I have done several hard resets still with no luck. I starting to wonder if it is a rom upgrade

Re: broken xv6700

Well, you might be able to flash out of it. The white screen usually means that the ROM is too big for the bootloader, if the kitchen was used. Try flashing the stock ROM. That's the only way to rule out a software problem.

Re: broken xv6700

The link above should get you to the ROM downloads and readme files. Here's Verizon's instructions but the links to the ROM download don't work as UTStarcom has been changing their website lately.
