Bug Discussion in Apache WM5 AKU 3.5 Unified ROM Kitchen 1.0

OK, got everything installed with the 2.0 .NET and WM6 customizations.

I am having the following problems that I would like to raise.

1) When I get a new Text or email the Notification bubble appears and disappears as normal. However, the toolbar at the bottom of the screen (where the ComManager and Orientation Switcher live) stays white (color of the notification bubble) until I change screens or highlight an item in the task bar. Afterwhich things go back to normal.

2) Yahoo GO! (1st version not the newest Gamma version). This will not automatically connect to the network to synch anymore (did before the AKU 3.5 update). I have all the settings correct. But if the phone is idle (on external power or on battery) it will not auto sync. Trick is as soon as I do something (i.e. move the joystick) the auto sync starts up. SO I must do something manually on the phone to kick start Yahoo GO! to start its next sync.

3) SPBDiary. On the Calendar view it should show unread messages (in Outlook Inbox, text messages or Yahoo). This (like Yahoo GO!) doesn't update until I manually do something on the phone like move the Joystick. Even though the phone is on external power and I have it set not to sleep on external power, it seems I have to wake the phone up to do something. It's like it is sleeping with its eyes open.

That's all I've noticed so far, but I will keep looking. Regardless thank you all for the hard work to get to this point. We (I) certainly appreciate your dedication.

nice finds... not every 3rd party app was tested before the release, but since both #2 and #3 behave the same (and really, sorta kinda even #1 looks somewhat the same) it could be some weird interaction of installed apps.

If you're game, try uninstalling or hard resettting to clear out all the apps (unless they're OEMS, in which case you're in for some heavy work!)

Assuming they're not and you start "clean" test the #1 error. If it's not there, then hmmm must be something that you've installed (later on...)

Start adding stuff back. After each app install, test #1, and then #2 (onces GO! is installed....) and then #3 once SPBDiary is installed... note when error returns.

For #1, I would not ever notice, as I have gotten rid of that toolbar (waste of screen space)

Edit: If they're OEMs then - sigh - you could first build a rom w/o them as oems and try the above installing them as cabs (to internal memory) to see if you can reproduce, if not then you'd need to add an oem, flash, test, repeat. Icky.

Well, since I do not have too much time to "play" with the phone uninstalling and reinstalling everything during the week I will have to try and do this over the weekend. Hopefully I can find some time to do it.

Thanks for the suggestions.
