White Screen after flashing !! - Page 2

no, i completely stripped down the rom. it wasn't large at all. the problem began after i spilled coffe on it. i can't flash the factory rom. the ruu keeps shutting itself off in the middle of the install.

new development. i also managed to get my husband's apache stuck in bootloader mode. have tried mmty, naigaboy's downgrade and uni_bootloader and nothing works. someone please help.

bootloader 2.05 with vista.

you seem to be the only one who consistently has no problems with vista. i was just forced to get a vista and that's what is causing part of the problem. most of the fixes i found do not work in vista. any help will be appreciated.

When you have usd the kitchen did you turn off Windows Mobile device Center's USB connections? Also DO NOT RUN the programs in compatability mode or as Admin. It will NOT work.

yes, i did turn off usb but i have been using in compatability mode. let me try other way. will update you. can i pm you for extra help please?

I would suggest you reflash your xv6700 with the original stuff. Since you have bootloader 2.05, use the one designed for that phone at http://www.pcdphones.com/downloads/XV6700%20AKU3.zip Open the zip file and extract the application and word document. Read it carefully. It directs you to be connected through ActiveSync. If you can't and can only be at bootloader mode, try it anyway...it may just work.

the problem is i'm running vista and it's being really stupid. i finally managed to flash the stock verizon rom to the other apache though. what's weird is that i'm trying to build the exact same rom i had before and this time it's too big??

romeroom, bootloader does NOT matter. The issue between the kitchen and bootloader got fixed a long time ago. Most of the time if there are issues with Vista it's when using Stock ROMS.

swish, please keep a small build. Adding a buncha junk to the ROM only makes it run worse. You shoud not have a problem with v2.05. I do hate these newer bootloaders though. 1.00 and 1.02 never had any problems.
