Internet Speed measured in minutes per byte

For several weeks now my PPC6700 is veryyyyyy slowwww on the internet. It works normal a couple of miles away. Tech support opened a trouble ticket about 3 weeks ago but nothing has happened. The phone indicates EV but is slow locating, slow connecting and almost never completes a page download. Any suggestions?

It's not your PPC, it's MySpace. They have a definite problem with bandwidth and over usage of ones broadband capabilities.

The site is definitely a problem since it is so broadband intense many corpoarate policies restrict employees from going to the site. The smart ones such as myself circumvent this policy by visiting the site on our PPCs.

Ok, back to your question.

I have found that switching the way a page displays (Menu--> View) from "Default" to "One Column" can sometimes help the situation. Pages that I have trouble loading will often display in "One Column" mode more often that in "Default" mode. This is just one suggestion. It's something that you can tweak on your end at least.

Thanks, I don't think it is MySpace, I don't use that site. I believe it is a Sprint problem because if I move a couple of miles it works perfectly. Additionally I just tried to activate a Data Card with no success. I have been in contact with Sprint tech support several time but still no results. I was hoping someone may have experienced this kind of problem amd gotten it resolved.

I understand that it is not MySpace. Did you happen to read through the full post and try switching the way the page displays?

That was the serious part of the Post.

Yes I have tried the page display. I am now thinking this may be related to another carrier tower close by causing receiver desensing. Anyway at this time I fewl Sprint will be doing a driveby to verify the problem and then we should be on the road to solutiom. I must say that the tech's I have spoken to are all pleasant and seem concerned, the problem is getting the trouble ticket escalated to the level where it will be worked on.
