The kitchen is stock for all carriers. In other words, you DO need to install your carrier's customizations. There is a thread about what each carrier needs to have installed from the extended ROM. You may want to check that one out.

The kitchens
WM6 Theme v1.0.1.zip has invalid shortcuts .... Contacts , Calendar , Tasks & Messaging all show up as blue/white boxes (no icon) May want to update that zip with working shortcut files. I dont know where to get the wm6 icons so i put back in the "stock" wm5 ones when i did my build. +++++++++++++ when you OVERFILL the rom (drastically), you will get a hard lock at the 1st boot screen, you will most likely get errors trying to patch in a custom *.nb file to the NBA as well. if you screw something up in the OS or LOC folders... OR you have a conflicting/bad OEM folder you will get a WHITE screen after the primary load screen.... you will still hear the "Default.wav" file play after 10 or so seconds. White Screen of Death...... Screwed up something in the OS or LOC folders -Replace ANY of the *.wma ring files -Put a bad *.tsk file in -An OEM dll file is in conflict with an OS dll (it will build fine, but white screen you later.... the monopoly game from handmark will do this EVERY time even if its the only OEM) -Improperly named an added sound file. Notice in my ROM's the added sounds all follow "Alarm1, 2, 3, 4, .... etc. You cant randomly throw a sound in -Added a *.wma sound, the OS freaks out if you add any sound files that are not WAV -Registry modifications, trying to remove default today screen items for example in your own *.rgu -----will get you a white screen. You need to find the existing *.rgu that makes the entries and edit it from there -You make something read-only that shouldnt be (i had inadvertantly made some OEM files read-only and it hosed my build, simply changing the flags and rebuilding worked) You have to be VERY careful when modifying anything outside of the OEM folder, ANY change you make, build it and flash it before making more (TRUST ME!) The hard lock on boot screen is much easier because you know you simply went over the limit.... the white screen however.... is a freakin nightmare because it could be *anything*. Best of luck to you budding rom builders, the best suggestion i can make... have notepad open in a little box.... EVERY change you make, type yourself a quick note and move on. (Best suggestion EVER!)

Not sure what you're talking about JBabey, but plenty of people have built with that patch (including myself) and don't have invalid shortcuts.
Maybe try applying them again to the stock kitchen. |

I used the WM6 patch without errors, but did get the white screen. Monopoly was in then, and no more white screen once I removed it. Since I didn't hard lock, then maybe I can cram more in. Hoping to get SlingPlayer mobile, Palm SMS and Flashplayer7 in!

Haha... good luck with that Yuma. I took one look at the slingplayer cab and said "nuh uh". It's got like 250 graphic files that need to go in various subdirectories. Sure it is doable but it's going to eat up 400K of extra storage memory to copy the graphics, not to mention have 250 extra files clogging up the Windows directory.
What I am doing instead is just building in the reg entries for it and will keep the app itself on my storage card or in extrom. As for Flash Player 7, that is about a meg (in my OEM folder). I also have an OEM for Palm SMS that seems to work, but I don't really use SMS much so I need to have some people test it before I release it. |

OK, I'll trust you on the slingplayer one. I've never actually used the Palm SMS, but wouldn't mind getting it into my ROM. I did get the WA2 OEM packaged up, so I'm going to up that to the FTP tonight. Hopefully some of the others, too. Just gotta be sure to pull my registration info out first.
