AKU 3.5 Contacts issues. PLEASE HELP!!!

does anyone kno how to fix the problem of AKU 3.5 Contacts? i was able to press a letter in contacts and it would go straight to the names with the letter.... with AKU 3.5, when i press a letter it doesnt do that anymore...

when i press a letter, it for some reason highlights the first number in the contact number.

i have to type at least the first two letter of the name in order to get to contact letter group.
