Vibrate often gets disabled when people disable change the LEDs.

Did you do any registry hacks to it? Specifically the one to disable the LEDs will also disable vibrate.

Your best bet would be to hard reset it and see if vibrate comes back. If it doesn't then you will know it's a hardware problem.

My 6700 vibrate is inconsistent.

It is caused by the battery not being seated properly. It's really annoying.

The way I check it is by using the comm manager that has the button to enable vibrate because if I just use the volume control to set it to vibrate it doesn't send the confirmation shake. Point is, you have to know your device is going to vibrate.

Take the battery cover off and when you're looking at the battery, the bottom right corner is where you should press.

Hold it down while you think your phone should be vibrating. If it does, then that's your problem. I tried to add tape to help sort of force it to stay connected. It's better than before, but it still stops vibrating on me from time to time. Pain in the neck.

Everything else works just fine on the phone even when it doesn't vibrate, so it took me a long time to accept that the battery seating caused the loss of vibrate.

The attached image indicates the area I have to focus on when re-seating my battery in order to make it vibrate.

whoops, can't add the photo attachment. not an old enough member.
