so for some reason this morning when i would get a call, my screen would power on, EV would drop to 1x, but nuthing else would happen. then i would get a notification that i had a missed call. did a soft reset and everythings fine now. just figured i would post in case anyone else has had this issue before.

get you that "scheduled reset" application that malatesta posted somewhere around here. You will avoid many problems with it

can't say I have seen this problem, but I don't have evdo....but as bunny stated, a regular soft reset will stop most issues. I normally soft reset my phone before bed or after I get up.

Does a daily soft reset really necessary?

I do it just to do it really, I mean it does stop some minor issues. So in other words a regular reset, can't hurt anything

Yeah, I find I can go days without a soft-reset (assuming I don't actually install anything that requires a soft-reset...very unlikely!)

But that soft-reset schedule app is so convienent that I have it set to reset every morning at 4 am just for the heck of it...

It doessn't hurt at all to do it and maybe it'll fix any quirks some people may get.
