I have finally had enough! I don't have a data plan. I have heard that MMS should work without a data plan. when I try to download an image my friends send me I usually get the Error 37- misc error cant setup mobile ip, or the Error8- misc. error. Now i used to have wm5 until last night when i updated to helmi's wm6. i really need help! I have tried to understand all of those other guides on the fourm and i cant seem to find an answer.

I am cunfuzzle.

You will get that error if data is blocked. If you don't have data blocked bt are on pay as you go then it will work.

You will need to call VZW 800-922-0204 and ask if it's blocked. Most people when they get the phone just say block internet then don't know what happend.

Who told you that you didnt need a data plan to get MMS? Who lied to you? LOL Seriously, thats partly thruthful. You do need data access to do MMS but not neccessarily a data plan. This is what PDAPhoneJunkie is getting at about you possibly being data blocked. Then again it could be a authentication issue. Either way, you need to understand that if you do not have a data plan and connect via data then you are charged on kilobyte usage.........so beware.
