UTStarcom AKU 3.3 coming "Late May or early June."

Thought I'd share this with the rest of you. Sorry if this is posted somewhere else.

I got bored at work and decided to call UTStarcom to see if they'd tell me anything about a possible update for the 6700.

I asked about my Verizon XV6700 and the tech guy quickly answered that AKU 3.3 will be released in late May or Early June. I didn't ask any other questions, I simply said thank you and disconnected the call.

So, I'll ask you all this though...What's the difference between 3.3 and 3.5? Basically, if they're going to release an official 3.3, what will it be MISSING compared to the 3.5s that are out there?

Well, it appears that the Telus p4000 (6800) is running 3.3 and the test version of the Sprint 6800 that surfaces was running 3.3 so I am assuming that this is the same version that would be released if there was a release. As far as a comparison, still to early to tell, but one thing that has been confirmed is that Voice Command will announce incoming calls over BT without a need for another app like IDTransfer (sorry Bad Sector). It also seems to have A2DP integrated and working well.

dunno what will be missing, but I suppose we'll be able to update the 3.5 kitchen with stuff from the official 3.3 rom... is that right?
