Damn ... I was hoping this would fix mine
I just got a Verizon XV7600 today and have been trying to get it to detect the radio. I have never seen it detected.
The phone came with a ROM version that displayed a Cricket Wireless logo on bootup, so I figured if I went back to the verizon software it would fix it, but so far it hasn't. I've tried a few different ROMs (2 from UTStarCom as well as an unofficial version that had WM6). No luck with any. I just found this post with the 13 steps and the mtty utility and figured it would work. I ran through it twice trying both the releases I had from UTStarCom (APA_Verizon_31430_314208_14300_WWE_Ship_2.exe and APA_VZW_20720_206_11000_WWE_Ship.exe). Still it doesn't detect the radio. I'm new to this phone and its design, but I have done some embedded firmware work in the past. Could there be some flash / nvram settings that are causing problems? Or if it is a hardware problem, could it be something simple that I could fix? Also I saw UnityPunks response saying " then i flashed the radio_.nbf file alone with the stock updater, after trying everything else here..." How do you manually flash a single file? I'll look around, but so far haven't seen any info on this. I hope somebody can help me. I was stoked on getting a new phone that didn't suck ![]() Thanks, Tom |

Re: How to: get your Radio Back! :D
I thought that I would let people know that this process worked for mine too. I did an over-the-air update for PRL and that is what threw my radio off the map. After the update, everything went back to the way it was before the crap hit the fan. Great! Thanks for the hard work, and sharing the update material!

Re: How to: get your Radio Back! :D
Easy...you extract all the files from the exe (use winzip or equivalent), delete the other .nbf files, run the .exe
