I have to concur it is the carrier's issue. I have received multiple text messages from the same people back to back and they don't have either Sprint nor Verizon. I came online today to look for a program to download. Since this seems to be the only issue you guys have mentioned I think I will try this PALM SMS app. Do I need to have a ROM installed to use it? I don't have any ROMs installed.

The only problem I'm having with the ThreadedSMS app is that if I reply in a thread, the message will hang in the outbox and I need to manually resend it...

Also, some incoming text messages still go to the old message area...

Other than that, it works well...

good luck

What ROM/AKU are you running? It looks to me you did not install correctly since those are the common errors we saw when the app was released at the beginning and not all the files were correctly copied over to the Windows directory on pre-AKU 2.3 devices.

I'm running standard Verizon ROM, nothing fancy... Perhaps you could help me fix these little issues then .. That would totally rock!!!

I just installed the cab file, I didn't need to do anything else, at least I don't think... Or at least, I didn't, lol...

The one thing I didn't do was remove poutlook from the startup folder...

My concern is if I do this, where will my email go??

Thanks

Well, I removed poutlook from my startup and did a soft reset, within 2 minutes I got a text message and it went into the old messaging...

So confused... Let me know if you have any ideas...

Thanks...

What you need to do is to navigate to \Program Files\Palm Messaging and then copy those files over into \Windows. Then you won't have the hanging problem.

I don't have problems with it hanging, here's the two issues I have:

1.) When replying to a Thread that is already active it won't send, it hangs (maybe this is the hanging problem you were speaking of) in the outbox until I resend it...

2.) messages randomly will go to the old area, instead of the threaded app...

Overall, I like it, and will try copying the stuff like you mentioned above, hopefully it'll help me out!

Thanks...

i would sooo appreciate it because i have hanging texts and this sending em manually is ridiculous!
