WM 6.1: Cannot edit existing email or create new!

A few have you may have seen my comments on various sites on this topic. I have created two IMAP accounts on my WM6.1 recent flash. After about half a day these accounts now become uneditable (cannot change time to download, download type, ect). I also cannot create a new account either!

The only solution I have learned is to restore a backup or re-flash...not an option every day!

Has anyone seen this on the kitchen build? I've got nothing unique in the bulid and have tried about 10 different builds and currently have nothing but the basic ROM OS.

I tried Helmi w/o the issue but it had other issues with Arcsoft MMS that I wanted amoung other concern.

Does anyone know where I can tweak such settings in the reg or an xml file?

I just notice the same thing happening to my phone. I tried adding an email account on my phone and it doesn't do anything. Any help is appreciated.

Glad I'm not alone, I think a few on the forums felt I was nuts!

I cannot tell you how I solved this to be honest. I flashed 101 times.

I believe the last time I think it had something to do with arcsoft integration, not sure why. I ran my phone with two days w/o arcsoft off my phone. then I loaded the cab for 5.0.70.24. Obvoiusly I recommend not using the ROM flash version...but my memory is not 100%.

I had to test it w/o to prove that I had no errors with adding or editing email accounts. then I added it in.

wish I had more. I just got a xv6900 and will be flashing soon, I'm sure I'll have to through this again!

I had the same thing happen with 20755. I have NO idea why it happened.

It was just all of the sudden, but the only real change I think I made was that I added the accounts via the ROM using OEMizer instead of adding them manually. Nothing else was changed...

That may have been what I did too. I think I added one test account in the OEM'z and then added the other a a day or two later...and all is good...

hahahah! i love that phone, it's literally a brick in size and construction!

the 6900 feels a bit limp but is slick too.

Just an update. I reflashed the 20755 rom and it works fine in the beginning. Then when I tried to setup outlook it stopped working. I couldn't edit nor add new email accounts. i don't know why it's doing this. Is this only on the 20755 kitchen?

Another update. I reflashed to the 20924 kitchen and everything was working fine except setting up Outlook. Then I installed MS Live search and it stopped working again. Now I can't add new email accounts.

I reinstalled 20755 after having 20924 and everything has been ok so far. Seems like it was just a problem with 20924 for me...
