Connectin Outlook on pc to phone problems

I'm not doing this wrong, I don't think. But for some reason the outlook on my laptop is saying that I already have an existing account with a different name than the one on my PPC. So now I can't Sync my contacts and etc to transfer to my new PPC. ANyone know an old thread I could use, or any advice

did you hard reset your ppc or use a different one with this computer?
