PLEASE HELP!!!! Contact Problem

i installed stock AKU 3.5 and now i cant press a letter to go to the letter category. when i press a letter it highlights the first number in all of the contacts area code. i have to press a second for it to go to someone's contact... i was able to do it before with the stock AKU 2.0 but when i upgrade to AKU 3.5, that when it started to happen... is there a rom to fix this problem??? Please HELP!?!?

I am using saridnours rom.

and I am not, and have never had that problem.
