Went back to WM6...

Well as you all know I have always bragged about WM6.1 on my Apache and how great it is. Well There are two issues that have made me go back to WM6. 1. The Windows Media Lib. doesn't work with storage card, I've tried three different ones. I even posted a thread on it and no one ever had a solution. 2. The wakeup lag came up again. I use SPB Tips and Tricks to wakeup device fast. I hate the long delay then when it does come up S2U2 takes forever. So for now I'm staying on WM6. Seems to work good although I miss Threaded SMS and it's only been 1 hour I probably will stay this way till I get my 6800. I ordered another replacment today and I have like four of em laying around. I just decided to run WM6 on my everyday one. If any one knows how to fix the WMP issue it would greatly help!

Re: Went back to WM6...

I would be interested in checking out WM6. Which kitchen version do you prefer?

Re: Went back to WM6...

I used the last version from Helmi. Actually. I know what I've said bout my past experience with Lenny build. Well I never used 1923. I just flashed to it and there is NO wakeup lag. Maybe I will go back to WM6.1 with this build.

Re: Went back to WM6...

Do you mean the first one in this thread (Build 18125.0.4.2) or is there a more recent version that I'm not seeing?

Re: Went back to WM6...

No, that's a premade rom. Not a kitchen.

I found the thread for the Apache WM6 Kitchen Thread but the links are dead since the new site. I had a copy on my machine here so I hosted the PPCGeeks OEM and the Kitchen. Enjoy.

Re: Went back to WM6...

Thanks for the offer WAH. Nah I found a copy and I was liking it but I don't like how the keyboard covers up the text box, since I use the large PCM keyboard. It got anoyying not being able to reply right there in order to see the text. I just tried a different build of WM6.1 on my test device and so far it's running good. I might go back. I want a 6800 though! Then I'll look at a Diamond.

Re: Went back to WM6...

Ah yes, a Diamond. DAMN VZW and thier slowness. Theyre doing it just like they did on the 68. If I didnt hate Sprint for my own personal reasons I think I would change providers.

Youre welcome BTW.
