SMS message length?

Yes... I've searched so please forgive me if I am missing something.

Seems the 6700 I set up for my wife has issues with how long a text message is. If she sends me one over a certain length it comes into my LG Env as two messages. If I send her one that is even one character too large it never even makes it to her phone.

Is there some limitation with the 6700 or something on Verizons end?

Well I am not with Verizon but have you considered it may be a problem on your phone's end? Can you succesfully send messages >160 characters to other people without problems?

Problem solved... somehow my wife got booted off the Enhanced Messaging option at Vzw. Any messages over 160 chars are not allowed.

Yes, there is an Enhanced Messaging option but oddly enough my wife called Verizon today and they say it is a limitation of the 6700. I find this hard to believe.

Guess I have to dig deeper on this one.

I just got to the party on this one, but you found the issue. ^^^ It's a limitation of the device.

Ugh... I hate when Verizon is right. Thanks for the confirmation.

Ok.. maybe it's time to get the wife a data plan then. It just angers me that they rape you on it regardless of how little you send.
