Worked for me... Got a voice message then a message on the screen saying it was updating and then it asked to restart... (I was half asleep at the time so don't recall the exact details...) But it worked...

You can determine your current PRL version by going to Start>Settings>System(TAB)>Device Information>Version(TAB)

i call *2 and i just get the usual crap, i even say "prl update", then it trys to send me to a rep

whats data triangle?

From what I understand with certian new phones, while roaming, instead of having an R as the romaing icon it uses an actuall triangle Icon. I actually had the triangle icon showup once on my 6700 when I installed a dialar i found on xda-developers. I have installed the data triangle prl and when roaming it does not appear but I think that's because the icon is not a part of the prl itself and has more to do with software being which will give you a certian set of icons.

Now I could be wrong, so anyone out there who knows for sure please chim in.

How does a 5kb prl file update tower locations for the entire U.S.?

Also, any reason why Sprint is telling me that 20224 is the latest PRL version? I'm in Hollywood, CA.

20224 was released 9/18/06.
