Latest PRL 20227
 

New EVDO PRL pushed to my machine last night, here ya go

where do i install this? in windws dir?

Entering PRL:

1) You have to have your MSL #.
- you can call C.S. but be warned it may take a few attempts to obtain the number

2) Download PRL 20227 and unzip file 20227.prl
-Easier to put on memory card

3) from dialer screen enter ##775# it should auto send you to a screen with a box asking for unlock code.
- Unlock Code = MSL Number

-You may have to just enter ##775 and hit send to get to that screen. For some reason I'm running Sardinour's pr6 and this is the method I have to use.

4) afer entering unlock code tap edit and browse for the 20227.prl file.

5) It should auto reset after hitting okay.

what does the prl do exactly???

not to be confused with roaming in the traditional sense.... its a stored list of cell towers and wich towers will take a handoff if you are travelling.

basicly if sprint puts up 3 new towers in your area, and your phone doesnt know they exist, it will never use those towers. Its an archaic system carried over from the GSM systems, but there is no incentive or motivation (financially) to make a better system.

this doesnt work... i installed it, and now my phone is constantly looking for service...

Can't you just dial *2 and it will do it automatically??

negative i cant call out,,, it keeps looking ofr service....
