Alltel 6700 Uploading New ROM issues

conflipper has a nice ROM I would like to install on my 6700 but my phone does not want to come along with the program.

At start up (soft reset) my phone displays the following:

H/W = 2
M = 12
U = 4
P = SNAZ40306
R = 1.41.00
D = 2.11.20 WWE

Here is what is happening:

My phone will sync up just fine with my computer and everything is well. When I start the load program for the new ROM the instructions a clear and I follow them.

The install program will ask if I'm ready to install but the "Image" data from my phone is blank but the new ROM information is correct. When I start the download my phone will shut off (or maybe go into hybernation) then I get the 260 error code that my phone is not connected. I have tried turning the phone right back on.....no results.

I have PM'ed conflipper for some help. We tried to get the new Alltel ROM to upload.....same problems. We have tried to install in the bootloader mode...same results....phone shuts off and I'm told I'm not connected. I've tried to tell if my phone is locked but I can't tell........still a newbie at this.

Any help will greatly appriciated. If the information you have is very technical in nature please dumb it down just a little.

Use the PPCkitchen.org kitchen. Pre-made roms are buggy.

That ROM is made for the HTC touch, and it will not work on the 6700
