Re: How to HTC Performance software
No idea personally but I do remember there were a few ppl who couldnt do 624 and would have adverse affects but mine like your older one would fly at 624 all day. Too bad the 68 cant be OC'ed.

Re: How to HTC Performance software
Strange, I always had my 6700 OC'ed at 624. Never locked up. When I sed the Kirvin ROM and had it at 624 it was like the best. It didn't lockup like my Mogul does. I am getting very mad that the 6800 can't be OC'ed.

I am inclined to think that it isn't changing anything, due to some incompa.ity or somethn left out that should be there. ? |

1. There have been some threads at XDA Developers site pointing to this fact of it not working, though I'm sorry I don't have any thread links for you to review. 2. TCPMP has a menu selection that tells you what speed your 6700 processor is running at in real time. (Options > Settings) When I installed HTC Performance and ran it (after soft reset) it consistently read at 420 Mhz (rounded up from the 416 Mhz that the CPU is rated at). When using a commercial overclock software utility such as XCPUScalar (available here as a trial), you set it at 520 Mhz, and check with TCPMP, it will show you 520 Mhz, and your video performance should be significantly better. Try it and you'll see what I mean. |

Re: How to HTC Performance software
Yeah I believe you're right!! Now, the thing is it could be some incompatibility issue w/ the kitchen process. or WM6.1. or just straight doesn't work as coded on the Apache.
What is does seem to do, is lock the device speed minimum at 300 (312 I guess), b/c when I had it running, I seemed to have significantly less batt. life. So, in that respect, stuff would happen a bit snappier b/c it wouldn't be scaling down to 104 every time the system was idle. Make sense? I'm sure Rome and I were hoping to hear from someone who has HTC Performance running verifiably successfully on their Apache(s) ??? |

That's my two cents...though we're getting close to a dollar by now on this topic. |

Re: How to HTC Performance software
Well a long time ago when I had WM5 on my 67 and was using Pocket Hack Master and I did bench test on the device and read write memory and did screenshots on both before the OC and after the OC and you could see the results easily.

Re: How to HTC Performance software
Agreed. Pocket Hack Master is another commercial utility I tried (along with XCPUScaler) that effectively overclocks the 6700. I've yet to see the same evidence with HTC Performance.
