My VX6700 freezes when i turn it on

Ok first off i am a noob. Ive read and searche a lot of forums but can find anything related to my problem.
Here is my prolem: I turn the phone on it shows the verizon screen then the owner info screen and then when it shows the today screen and the notifications (a bunch of past alams and past events) it just freezes i dont even have time to get in to the settings. I cant turn the power off from the button so i have to take the pattery out. I have tryed soft resettiong and I have gotten in to the bootloader screen It says System 2.02 .
Anyway if anyone can help me i wwould realy apreciate it. Please explain the terms you use. I have no idea what flashing is. I guess the kitchen is a program you use to make programs for you ppc on you pc but im not shure.

Have you performed a hard reset? Doing this will bring everything back it's original "out of the box" state, which means you would lose any prestored files and data you've created that has not been backed up. If you have not stored anything of value yet, or you can easily restore what you've done on your xv6700, a hard reset would be worthwhile to try.

I would reccomend just flashing to a WM6/6.1 You will LOVE it! I love how fast my phone runs.

I agreed a hard reset is inevitable. What OS you choose to go to after that is your own death bed.

ok i performed a hard reset accoarding to method 2, but when i turn it on it gose in to a setup mode and the it freezes again some where in the set up (screen alignment , time zone set, tutorial on how to use the stylus) I bought this phone off ebay so i dont know if the hard reset will actualy goe to the factory defaul or another default the previous owne setup.

Any ideas on how the get my ppc working?

damn if it just isnt getting more and more difficult to find a decent 67 on ebay now-a-days. If a hard reset isnt working and you obviously are doing it right, then I would contact the seller and ask for a refund or file a claim via PP.

Yeah it is. I'm gonna be selling an almost brandnew 6700 (Just the shell, nothing else) here real soon. It has on super super tiny nick on the screen but everything else works perfect. I have it all stock with WM5. I'll put any rom you want on it if you're interested let me know.

i ever got the same problem as yours... try to boot your ppc and unplug your sd card... may be there is a problem in your sd card

that was it. The sd card freezez up the phone any ideas why or how i could fix it?
i am using a SanDisk 2 GB Micro Card with a Mini sd Adapter card. Is this the phones problem or just a compatability error. Its to return the phone or not.

What OS are you running? I always had problems with my card disapering in WM5...
