Have you performed a hard reset? Doing this will bring everything back it's original "out of the box" state, which means you would lose any prestored files and data you've created that has not been backed up. If you have not stored anything of value yet, or you can easily restore what you've done on your xv6700, a hard reset would be worthwhile to try.
